About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab team at Highpoint Health Sumner. As a key member of our multidisciplinary unit, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional cardiovascular and interventional radiology care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Preparation: Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients both physically and emotionally for the procedure.
  • Procedure Assistance: Assist cardiologists and other medical professionals during various procedures. This includes preparing and managing equipment, monitoring patient status, and ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Monitoring and Documentation: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and responses during procedures, promptly recognizing and addressing any complications. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, medications administered, and procedural outcomes.
  • Post-Procedure Care: Provide comprehensive post-procedure care, including monitoring recovery, managing pain and discomfort, and educating patients and families about post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies promptly, utilizing advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) skills to stabilize patients as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS. A minimum of 1 year of hospital nursing experience is required, with 2+ years of experience preferred. Cardiovascular and Critical Care experience are also preferred.
