Job Summary:

Chiron Technology Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Reverse Engineer III to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for performing detailed analysis of malicious binaries through controlled execution and static analysis of assembly code. Your expertise will be crucial in overcoming anti-analysis techniques designed to evade detection and attributing malicious activity to adversary infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed analysis of malicious binaries through controlled execution and static analysis of assembly code
  • Overcome anti-analysis techniques designed to evade detection to ascertain the functionality, capabilities, and call-backs of the malware
  • Assist in attributing malicious activity to adversary infrastructure by analyzing malware characteristics and behaviors
  • Identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) that are crucial for detecting and mitigating future threats
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation of reverse engineering processes, findings, and insights
  • Work closely with cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT teams to support incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability assessments
  • Utilize existing tools and software effectively to improve analysis accuracy and efficiency

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • CISSP, GIAC, GREM, or CREA Certification is required
  • Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
