Middle School Science Educator

Global Leadership Academy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Middle School Science Teacher to join our team. As a member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our scholars and contributing to our mission of preparing future leaders of the world.
Job SummaryThe Middle School Science Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering rigorous, standards-aligned lessons in Global Studies and Science. This includes planning for class activities, preparing units and daily lesson plans, and establishing clear objectives for lessons and projects. The successful candidate will also maintain positive relationships with scholars, parents, and colleagues, and create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver standards-aligned lessons in Global Studies and Science
- Plan for class activities, including preparing units and daily lesson plans
- Establish clear objectives for lessons and projects
- Maintain positive relationships with scholars, parents, and colleagues
- Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Track and evaluate student academic progress
- Attend professional meetings and educational conferences to maintain and improve professional competence

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a field of education
- Current teaching license (Grades 4-8 Social Studies/Science) preferred
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, leadership, collaboration, and independent thinking
- Strong people skills and emotional intelligence when dealing with students, parents, and colleagues
Initial salary offers for this position range from $50,000 - $75,000. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience and levels of attained education. This role is eligible for up to $5,000 in sign-on bonuses.
