Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role involves providing essential transportation services for immigrant families and organizational staff across various locations. The driver will also be responsible for transporting equipment, supplies, confidential documents, and other necessary items. Candidates must be capable of assisting families with their belongings and performing physical tasks such as lifting and moving items to different sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safe driving practices and adhere to all traffic regulations.
  • Log trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and complete other accountability tasks.
  • Assist with meal service, cleanup, activity setup, and other duties when not engaged in driving.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
  • Possession of a valid New York State Driver's License is mandatory.
  • At least three (3) years of safe driving experience is essential.
  • Preferred experience in shelters, hospitals, or residential environments.
  • Clean driving record with no violations or outstanding tickets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of independent work.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed; schedule may vary.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with strong conversational and writing skills in both languages.
