Department: Geography & Sustainability
Overview:
The Department of Geography & Sustainability is seeking a qualified individual for a one-year appointment as a Lecturer in Sustainability, with potential for renewal. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a total of four courses each semester at both introductory and advanced levels, utilizing various instructional methods including in-person and fully online formats.
The Sustainability Program encompasses a major in Sustainability, with specialized tracks in Public Policy and Supply Chain Management, alongside a minor in Sustainability.
Additional teaching opportunities may be available during summer sessions and mini terms for extra compensation. Candidates who have demonstrated experience in engaging sustainability students with local communities are particularly encouraged to apply.
Position Benefits:
This full-time, non-tenure track faculty role includes a faculty office, access to a laptop, utilization of departmental research facilities, and funding for professional development activities such as conference attendance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a Ph.D. by the start date, demonstrate the capability to teach sustainability courses, and have prior teaching experience. Relocation to the designated area is required.
