Job Title: Physical Therapist

At Sigma Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing physical therapy and related services to patients, while maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including evaluation and treatment planning, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assist and assess transfers, gait, and balance as required by patient functional mobility and level of assistance.
  • Manual manipulation, including pushing and/or pulling of patient body parts and limbs, to facilitate patient mobility and comfort.
  • Report and interpret treatment results to inform patient care and treatment plans.
  • Participate in development and presentation of in-services for the facility, as requested.
  • Supervise support personnel in immediate work areas, as appropriate.
  • Perform clinical functions, including screenings, evaluations, development of treatment plans, and delivery of treatment, in accordance with facility, Medicare, and Therapy Management Corporation's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in meetings regarding patient care, as appropriate.
  • Assist with community education and public relations activities, as needed.
  • Provide education to patient's family and staff on treatment plans and therapy goals.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with other staff members to carry out treatment plans.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current certification with the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Licensed by the State in the designated geographic area in his/her respective therapy profession.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks without posing a threat to health or safety, and without risk to self, co-workers, caregivers, or patient.
