Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join our team at Catholic Health Service. As a Music Therapist, you will work with adults and children in a therapeutic setting, using music to promote physical, psychological, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement music therapy programs tailored to individual patient needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess patient needs and develop treatment plans
  • Provide music therapy sessions, including passive listening and participatory programs
  • Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Supervise music therapy interns and provide guidance and support
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay current with best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in music therapy
  • 2-3 years of experience as a music therapist
  • Certification with the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to play guitar, piano, drums, autoharp, and Orff instruments
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in computer office/accounting software
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, as well as stand on feet for extended periods of time.
