Job SummaryThe Patient Care Coordinator works in the front office of OnPoint Medical Group's medical clinics, providing exceptional customer service to patients and ensuring a smooth visit with the clinic providers.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients in person or over the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
- Complete pre-visit planning, including contacting patients for updated insurance information and verifying patient records.
- Register new patients and verify patient information for existing patients.
- Collect co-pays and payments as needed.
- Answer inbound calls to schedule patients and act as a liaison to clinical staff for patient questions.
- Complete administrative duties to ensure patient visits are smooth, billing is processed in a timely manner, and the front office remains organized.
- Make outbound calls to patients to schedule appointments.
- Perform duties to achieve or exceed established service standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Some college - medical, business, and accounting focus preferred.
- Customer Service Experience.
- Current CPR card.
- 1-2 years of experience in a business office or clinical environment.
- Bilingual.
- EMR experience preferred - Athenahealth practice management system.
