Our construction operations include paving and road reclamation services, as well as precast/prestressed concrete production and erection of multi-level parking structures, specialty buildings, and bridge components.
Job SummaryWe're seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, building, and supporting enterprise IT environments. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of managing and supporting Microsoft Azure, SonicWALL/Fortinet firewalls, and Windows Server.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise at the highest level, developing strategies and directions for network solutions utilizing current and emerging technologies.
- Responsible for high- and low-level network planning, design, and optimization.
- Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software, and architecture.
- Build, configure, and maintain network switches, routers, access points, and various voice appliances.
- Monitor network performance, ensuring capacity planning is conducted, and proactively assess and recommend improvements.
- Ensure the network environment maintains appropriate recovery protocols and addresses redundancy issues.
- Effectively prioritize network faults, diagnose and resolve issues promptly, and maintain composure under pressure from various impacted business groups.
- Provide design, implementation, and operational support for VoIP telephony systems, as well as for Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Coordinate with sites to facilitate technician training for new hardware.
- Develops and follows procedures to handle network fault events.
- Plan and manage small to large-scale projects.
- Maintain all documentation regarding network infrastructure.
- Solve highly technical and complex network-related issues.
We're looking for a candidate with:
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud networking, server, and PaaS components.
- Strong knowledge of scripting to automate resource deployment tasks and processes using PowerShell, Bicep & AzureCLI.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and complementary solutions (i.e. Entra ID, Intune, Defender for Business) as well as network standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of Fortinet Fortigate firewalls and their FortiManager & FortiAnalyizer products a plus.
- Networking - General knowledge in Networking, i.e., TCP/IP, firewall, network routing. VoIP.
- Strong knowledge of HPE, HPE/Aruba switches and SonicWALL firewalls.
- Ability to understand the risks of network maintenance outages and the consequences of such action.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Apple, and Linux Operating System environments.
- Ability to keep abreast of technological changes in the IT infrastructure arena and stay technically focused.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft AZ-104 (or acquired within six months of hiring).
- Fortinet FortiGate Security- NSE 4 (or acquired within one (1) year of hiring), Fortinet FortiManager – NSE 5 (or acquired within one (1) year of hiring).
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or related technical or business discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years of quality technical experience (or a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience for non-degree holders).
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
This role operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to sit at a desk and also involves frequent walking, bending, or standing, as necessary. The position requires the ability to lift 25 lbs. or more and requires pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, and reaching.
