As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the construction of aluminum boat hulls through riveting techniques.
Your responsibilities will include utilizing both power and manual tools to assemble components based on detailed specifications and schematic diagrams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate high energy, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to learning various equipment and processes.
- Safely operate high-speed pneumatic tools (such as drills, drivers, and rivet guns) and hand tools.
- Effectively drill, rivet, and secure rivets in various positions while maintaining safety protocols.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Document completed hulls and components for production tracking.
- Adapt to a dynamic workload, managing daily schedules and assignments with accountability for quality and timeliness.
- Maintain a safe working environment while adhering to all PPE requirements.
- Practice good housekeeping in the workspace.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred: Three months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Basic computer skills are advantageous.
- Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with team members.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn across various job functions.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees will frequently work at heights, lift components weighing up to 50 lbs, and navigate stairs regularly. The role involves sitting, squatting, and bending in various positions, including overhead work. Exposure to noise, dust, and fumes is common, and physical exertion is required throughout a 10-hour shift. Personal protective equipment, including vision protection and steel-toed footwear, is mandatory.
