Job SummaryWe are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in New York Mills, MN. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet internal specifications for quality, compliance, and established standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and department-specific Quality Inspection, auditing, compliance, and Critical Process inspections throughout the plant in a standardized, efficient, and repeatable manner.
- Provide training to others on critical-to-quality product and process criteria.
- Move boats to various locations (repaint, outside, warehouse, etc.) manually or by pallet jack and assist in heat-shrinking boats as required.
- Work on special projects geared towards product or process improvement.
- Serve as a gatekeeper for customer satisfaction and a quality leader within the facility.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read drawings and specifications.
- Must have solid mechanical skills, utilize basic math and reading skills, ability to utilize hand and power tools.
- Must have computer, math and reading proficiency and ability to use databases.
- Ability to receive and follow instruction.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to change with attention to detail.
Works in a manufacturing environment. Regularly required to stand (10 hours per day), walk, climb and bend. Exposed to noise. Computer skills and knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS is a plus.
