Job Summary
CHRISTUS Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urology team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled and professional team committed to providing exceptional, personalized care to our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather medical history and physical data on patients to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
- Perform a complete physical exam, interpret and integrate patient data, and record findings.
- Consult with other caregivers to coordinate patient care and develop treatment plans.
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications as prescribed.
- Perform procedures such as catheter changes, urodynamics (UDS), and percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS).
- Prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances, and advise patients on health and illness prevention.
Requirements
- Current licensure as an NP or PA.
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA training program and certification by an accredited certification agency.
- Current CPR Certification.
- 2+ years of experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered.
