Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a non-profit organization in Philadelphia to fill a temporary, fully onsite Staff Accountant role.

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to take on diverse accounting tasks, including cash management, billing, and providing essential administrative support within the non-profit industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily cash transactions, reconciliations, and applications. They will also assist with accounts receivable, sending invoices, following up on outstanding balances, and helping with collections.

Billing responsibilities include generating and sending statements, verifying accuracy, and resolving discrepancies. Additionally, they will manage prepaid expenses, perform amortization according to company policy, and assist with grants management, including tracking expenditures and preparing financial reports.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to ensure compliance with grant requirements and maintain accurate records.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in cash management, AR, and billing functions
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including prepaid expense management and cash reconciliation
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Excel
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is highly desirable
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $28-$31 per hour. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan. Employees have flexibility to choose coverage that meets their individual needs.
