Position Overview
The Food Service Utility Specialist plays a crucial role in both back of house and front of house operations within the Food & Beverage sector. This position is essential for maintaining a hygienic and safe work environment while acquiring comprehensive knowledge of kitchen equipment usage and cleaning protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and document food and equipment temperatures.
- Ensure a clean and safe workspace, including responsibilities for pot/dish washing and thorough cleaning tasks.
- Participate in internal training sessions.
- Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform in accordance with company standards.
- Support the promotion and implementation of the organization's health and safety policies.
- Assist in adhering to and promoting company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations, assisting chefs with the receipt of food deliveries to guarantee only the highest quality products are accepted.
- Maintain proper food storage practices in line with hygiene regulations and ensure a systematic stock rotation.
- Perform cleaning duties related to service areas and associated equipment or furniture.
- Prepare service areas and points for operation.
- Accurately store food items and equipment post-service.
