Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Nutritionist to join our Clinical Nutrition team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide quality nutrition care and education to patients and their families, working under the direction of our Clinical Nutrition leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the nutritional status of patients and develop personalized nutrition care plans.
  • Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams and document findings in the medical record.
  • Provide quality nutrition counseling to patients, family members, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with the Food Service Department to ensure patient needs and compliance with therapeutic diets.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning rounds.
  • Precept dietetic interns and instruct them on competencies required to complete their assigned rotation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with completion of ACEND-accredited dietetic internship required.
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition or related field of study preferred.
  • Minimum 0 years' experience + completion of ACEND-accredited dietetic internship.
  • Must be a registered dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or registration-eligible, having completed a dietetic internship from an ACEND-accredited program.
