About the Position

The Sr. Project Coordinator, Construction will play a key role in the daily operations of the company and contribute to its overall success. This position will support the Development and Construction Department.

The ideal candidate is a person who is willing to learn, problem solve, and achieve project goals. This individual can work independently, demonstrates reliability, pro-activeness, and strong communication skills while maintaining professionalism in the face of deadlines.

This position's salary range is between $74,700-$93,000. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus of up to 15% dependent on company and individual performance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in all phases and aspects of assigned projects
  • Perform site safety walks, promoting safe work practices
  • Review project documentation and reporting to be familiar with all requirements
  • Support construction team with applications/submission of deferred submittals
  • Understand inspection processes and assist contractor(s) with scheduling of inspections
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project schedules
  • Identify and communicate project risks
  • Understand and demonstrate construction processes and sequence knowledge
  • Understand the monthly payment application draw process, review process, and ensure accuracy of progress billings
  • Able to attend weekly OAC (Owner/Architect/Contractor) meetings and perform job walks as owner's representative
  • Able to prioritize project deliverables across multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Develop and maintain jurisdictional relationships to support project success
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project life cycle
  • Assist with tracking and coordinating contracts including the subconsultant bid process and anticipates change orders
  • Uphold EPD core values in everyday interactions with internal and external partners
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience and a bachelor's in a related field preferred; or a combination of equivalent education and work experience required
  • Experience in reading technical reports, construction and design drawings, and municipal codes required
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements related to site safety
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
  • Proven interpersonal skills with emphasis on communication and emotional intelligence
  • Passion for learning all aspects of development and construction including CEQA and technical studies
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with development related software (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and/or Bluebeam) required
