Veterinary Assistant

Our team is well-versed in exotic animal care and we regularly perform soft tissue surgery, dental surgery, and provide alternative medicine and acupuncture.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist our veterinarians in exam rooms, use veterinary software to document medical notes, and perform various laboratory and diagnostic procedures.

• Assist veterinarians in exam rooms and use veterinary software to document medical notes.
• Obtain laboratory samples, process, and interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears).
• Perform diagnostic imaging, including radiography and ultrasound.
• Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable).
• Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients.
• Communicate with and educate clients on their pets' medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Provide compassionate patient care and maintain a clean and safe environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of veterinary software and laboratory procedures.
