About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to work as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor with Lockheed Martin's Aeronautics Field Sustainment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising aircraft production, providing technical assistance, and setting maintenance priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate with the host squadron to advise on schedule requirements and production issues related to squadron aircraft.
  • Manage general services, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure they are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight.
  • Create and assign work-orders in the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and accomplish aircraft safety of flight releases as required.
  • Supervise multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment consisting of Military and Lockheed Martin employees.
  • Ensure the workforce follows appropriate technical instructions, NAMP 4790.2C, and NAMP local operating instructions.
  • Advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Enforce good housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Be capable of working first, second, or third shifts dependent on customer needs.
  • Be prepared to depart on temporary duty assignments with short notice, dependent on customer or LM ICS needs, which may include stateside or overseas assignments.
  • Hold a minimum of an Interim Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Security clearance.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6 years minimum fighter aircraft maintenance experience with a thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and flight line operations.
  • Overall fighter experience must include at least 2 years F-35 aircraft maintenance experience (experience must be within the last 4 years).
  • Leadership experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Experience with programs such as Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information System, Tool and FOD, E-Time Accounting, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management, or Supply Chain Management.
Desired Skills
  • F-35 or Fifth generation aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) experience.
  • Understanding of USN Maintenance Practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills for coordinating with Field Service Representatives, and Maintenance Managers on schedules, aircraft status, and issues as they occur.
  • Effective communication skills for coordination at all levels throughout the NAS Fallon structure to include Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics Support Managers.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to develop and present formal briefings and presentations.
  • Ability to develop necessary maintenance plans and procedures.
  • Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks.
