Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Falmouth Public Library. As a key member of our library staff, you will provide administrative support to the Library Director, Assistant Library Director, and other library staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the library's biweekly payroll submission and process invoices
  • Provide administrative support to the Board of Library Trustees and maintain supply and equipment inventories
  • Schedule public meeting room use and facilitate setup and technology support
  • Serve as the central contact person for all complaints and maintenance-related concerns for all library buildings
  • Perform general office duties such as opening and sorting mail, copying, and preparing correspondence
  • Compile and compose routine to complex reports and work on special projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in bookkeeping, accounting, or business administration
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible work in office administration
  • Strong administrative, mathematical, and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail and high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment
