Nurse Coordinator

Cape Cod Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and promoting a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinates total nursing care for patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
- Participates in patient and family teaching, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities by working cooperatively with nursing and other patient care team personnel.
- Practices according to entity mandatory requirements, department expectations, and a Customer Service approach to all activities.
- Cares for patients utilizing the nursing process, providing effective patient/family teaching, and documenting according to entity/department guidelines.
- Administers medications safely, provides care according to best practice standards of care in nursing, and identifies signs and symptoms of neglect/abuse.
- Manages patients with chest drainage devices, intravenous therapy, and responds appropriately in emergency/urgent situations.
- Provides care to post-operative patients, cares for patients with orthopedic diagnoses, and performs skills safely and according to specific policies/protocols.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Maintains BLS certification and completes Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module within 3 months of hire.
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia exam before hire and Bi-Pap Competency within 3 months of hire.
72PP (36 hrs. per week), Rot. Days/Eves, 7a-7p, E/O Weekend, Rot. Holidays (Med Surg 1)
