About the Position:

We are seeking a Youth Development Specialist to join our team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that support the academic and personal growth of young people in our community.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of BBBSMA, strong commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and excellent leadership and communication skills. Experience working with child and adult populations is required, with program development and management experience preferred.

As a Youth Development Specialist, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting mentors and mentees, managing program budgets, and evaluating program effectiveness. You will also collaborate with other departments to develop and implement comprehensive program plans that meet the needs of our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs that support the academic and personal growth of young people
  • Recruit, train, and support mentors and mentees

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to work focused on social work, counseling, social services, child development, or education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of and use of a customer relations management (CRM) system a plus (Salesforce preferred)
  • Must successfully complete a background check and fingerprinting prior to hire
  • Must have car, valid driver's license, and meeting state required automobile insurance minimums

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta Inc is a nonprofit organization that has transformed the lives of children in our community through a proven youth development strategy: one-to-one mentoring. We serve approximately 1,300 children from 12 metro Atlanta counties on an annual basis.

Estimated salary range: $43,855 - $45,000 based on relevant experience and qualifications.
