The Rapid Response Registered Nurse will provide critical care expertise to support disaster response operations and manage temporary facility support services.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Nursing and a minimum of five years of experience providing critical care, preferably in a disaster rapid response environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing critical care expertise for patients who demonstrate signs of imminent clinical deterioration
- Administering medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers
- Educating patients on managing health conditions, medications, and preventive measures
- Maintaining accurate and updated patient records, including progress notes, medication administration, and test results
- Monitoring and ensuring patient safety, identifying and reporting any changes in condition or potential risks
- Overseeing medical triage, treatment, and evaluations
- Adhering to Quality Assurance and Quality Control, SOPs, and Site Manager guidance and direction
- Creating site-specific medical plans and ensuring HIPAA-compliant security and storage of medical documentation
- Managing all medical administration and record keeping
- Providing timely coordination with medical staff to ensure proper reviews and notifications of utility outages and facility tasks
- Ensuring all medical personnel follow all processes and guidelines
- Providing daily reports and logs to Site Manager
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of disaster services and community resources, as well as the ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written means.
