Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Data Analyst at CoStar Group, you will be responsible for demonstrating excellent judgement, working well under pressure, prioritizing effectively, and collaborating with stakeholders across the company. You will collect and understand business requirements, analyze data structures, and transform and optimize them for business intelligence and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce analysis and insights that improve the value obtained from licensed third-party data feeds
  • Work with third-party vendors, responsible technology teams, and product owners to continually improve feed value based on identified errors
  • Assist in performing advance and ongoing due diligence of third-party datasets in collaboration with product owners
  • Help write and optimize SQL statements in jobs, stored procedures, and other objects
  • Troubleshoot reporting break/fix issues and help implement efficient solutions
  • Create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI
  • Develop, audit, and improve process documentation around new and existing solutions
  • Work with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years of experience working in data analytics or data science, demonstrating a sound knowledge of analytics, data modeling, business intelligence, database management, SQL querying, data warehousing, and online analytical processing (OLAP). A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for analytics, data science, computer science, finance, economics, accounting, or related fields. You will also need skills in BI tools and systems, such as Power BI, Tableau, etc., and the ability to create data-rich dashboards.

  • Experience working in a real estate-related field

  • Have an analytical and problem-solving mindset and approach
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
