Job Overview

Position: Quality Assurance Inspector

Role Summary: The Quality Assurance Inspector will oversee the Quality department, ensuring that all machined components meet the required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gauges, Indicators, and Depth Micrometers to assess machined parts.
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or FARO Arm CMM is essential; familiarity with Calypso for Zeiss CMM is advantageous.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance personnel and machine shop staff to verify that components are within tolerance levels.
  • Interpret blueprints and tolerances, demonstrating proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Windows-based applications.
  • Coordinate with Source inspectors to compile documentation for final inspections and approvals.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, including Forms 1, 2, and 3, in compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Experience with Nonconformance, Corrective Actions, and First Article submissions is preferred.
  • Engage with customer source inspectors and participate in AS9100 and customer audits.
  • Develop inspection strategies in collaboration with the internal team.

Experience Requirements:

Prior experience in an Aerospace machining environment is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Up to $45.00 per hour or equivalent salary based on experience.

Expected Work Hours: 40 – 55 hours per week on average.
