**Registered Nurse - Heart Failure Unit**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Heart Failure Unit team at Christiana Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex heart conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Unit Overview

The Heart Failure Unit is a 36-bed unit that provides care to patients with a range of heart conditions, including post-operative open heart patients. Our team is dedicated to providing individualized care to each patient, with a focus on education, support, and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to individuals with heart failure and other complex conditions
  • Collaborate with the cardiac surgeon and multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
  • Document patient information and progress in the medical record

Requirements

  • BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience
  • At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse required
  • Previous stepdown experience preferred; previous critical care experience preferred
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware
