About the Role

The Galveston Island Hilton Hotel is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen cookware efficiently and promptly, following established procedures and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain the sanitizing standards of all dishwashing equipment, including water changes and temperature checks.
  • Stock and use all cleaning supplies as intended.
  • Empty and clean trash cans, and ensure proper trash can placement.
  • Assist with the organization and stocking of clean dishes, utensils, and cookware as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dishwashing area, including sweeping, squeegeeing, mopping, and emptying trash as needed.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and disposal of waste, and assist in maintaining kitchen hygiene standards.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the needs of the restaurant.
