Job Summary

DoubleTree Galveston is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hotel Public Space and Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and managing customer service issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all public areas, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping.
  • Manage customer service issues promptly and efficiently, responding to guest inquiries and resolving problems.
  • Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks, including monthly deep cleaning and carpet shampooing.
  • Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance/Engineering Department.
  • Check public areas and toilets, taking remedial action as needed.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks set by the hotel's management.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with at least 1 year of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a hotel environment. Knowledge of proper chemical handling is also essential.

The ideal candidate will be physically able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and physical demands.
