Aveanna Healthcare Private Duty Nurse RN - High Acuity Adult (Weekend)

Job Summary:

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse RN to provide high-quality care to adult patients in their homes. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will work closely with our patients and their families to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet their unique needs and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care to adult patients in their homes, including wound care, medication management, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the patient's physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with the patient's healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care with other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the patient's physician.
  • Document patient care and progress in our electronic medical record system.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Private Duty Nurse or in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
