Our client is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction process of ground up, tenant improvement, and restoration projects in the Jacksonville market. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent and possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

The Commercial Construction Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing Tenant Improvement projects and new development projects
  • Managing the construction process while identifying and solving problems that arise
  • Maintaining positive relationships with tenants, contractors, suppliers, and employees
  • Working with local municipalities to ensure proper permitting and inspections
  • Helping to establish and maintain project schedules, including start, progress, and completion schedules
  • Holding subcontractors accountable for their performance
  • Reviewing and interpreting plans, specifications, and contracts as they relate to each individual trade involved in the construction of the project
  • Ensuring completion of all final punch lists and projects are completed before final payment and/or occupancy
  • Making changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines
  • Implementing management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient

The successful applicant will have strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and excellent communication skills. They will also have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Yardi or other property management software.

Our client offers a competitive full-time salary of $90,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as medical insurance, life insurance, PTO, and a matching 401k plan.
