Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care to children enrolled in our local KIDS FIRST clinics, while also serving as a clinical resource for our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the nursing process to manage patient care problems of a complex and changing nature
  • Assume accountability and responsibility for all aspects of care for assigned group of patients
  • Administer medications and treatments, and perform procedures according to UAMS and KIDS FIRST policies
  • Evaluate children to identify signs of illness or injury and intervene appropriately
  • Maintain current and accurate records and ensure confidentiality
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing
  • Valid RN License
  • Minimum of 2 years Registered Nursing experience or 2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong work ethics and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN or MSN
  • 3 or more years nursing experience
  • Pediatric Care experience
  • Current BLS
