**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled software architect to join our team at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) to design and develop pioneering real-world artificial intelligence systems for high-end sensors.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work with a skilled team of engineers and scientists to plan and design robust systems to enable the rapid information flow and analysis required for a real-world AI system to carry out its tasks
  • Develop and implement systems programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI systems with other technologies
  • Design and implement data science and machine learning programming
  • Develop and maintain multiple flavors of Linux
  • Work with full-stack experience and machine/deep learning or analytics development

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • ~5+ years of experience in systems programming
  • Strong information technology skills
  • Familiarity with system deployment
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment technologies
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • ~8+ years of experience working with systems programming languages
  • Experience with data science and machine learning programming
  • Experience with C++, C#, Rust, Go, etc.
  • Experience with multiple flavors of Linux
  • Full-stack experience
  • Machine/Deep Learning or analytics development experience
  • Hold an active Top Secret security clearance
