Job Summary

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fills medication orders, including oral, injectable, and topical medications, as well as intravenous admixtures.
  • Assists in the bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products and prepares and distributes floor stock items in response to requisition forms.
  • Enters charges and credits into the computer for all medications and IV admixtures dispensed from the Pharmacy and documents all medications and IV solutions returned to the Pharmacy.
  • Distributes prepared medications to patient care areas and/or other departments of the Hospital.
  • Performs necessary record keeping functions, including inventory management and restocking shelves.
  • Answers telephone and assists at the Pharmacy window.
  • May rotate within hospital and out-patient pharmacy service areas as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program preferred.
  • LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan required upon hire.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule, including every other weekend. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and orderly work area.
