Automotive Refinish Technician

Overview
">We are seeking an Automotive Refinish Technician to join our team at Classic Collision. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition.
">Salary Range
">The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $220,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
">About the Role
">This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and strong technical skills. You will work closely with our service advisors and other technicians to ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Assess damage to vehicles prior to repair">
- Make cosmetic repairs, including welding, sanding, and painting">
- Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections">
- Develop efficient methods for each job and plan work procedures">
- Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time">
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment, and trim to gain access to damaged areas">
- Store parts on carts or cover them to prevent damage">
- Mend damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts">
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including welders, soldering equipment, cutting torches, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sanders, spray guns, etc.">
- Fill depressions with body filler">
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolt or weld replacement parts in position and reassemble after painting">
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with 120-grit paper before turning vehicles over to the Paint Department">
- Aim headlamps and repair or replace defective parts">
- Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards">
- Comply with all Classic Collision safety rules, guidelines, and standards">
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repair process">

- High School Diploma or equivalent required">
- 1-4 years' body shop experience strongly preferred">
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required">
- Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment">
