We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our team in a per diem capacity. As an outpatient pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing prescriptions and monitoring patient drug therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense prescriptions in the outpatient pharmacy setting, including medication order preparation, compounding, and monitoring of patient medication therapies.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate with third-party payers to determine eligibility and obtain prior authorization.
- Assist with purchasing activities and maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Maintain the prescription area in an orderly and sanitary manner.
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Currently licensed in the State of Arizona.
- Prior pharmacist experience in a retail environment.
