With over a century of dedicated service, our 257-bed facility is committed to offering comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and rehabilitative care to individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of their financial situation.
Position Type: Full-Time (75 hours biweekly)
Work Schedule: Days
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Compensation: $26.39 per hour
Role Summary:
The Patient Access Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Access Care team, ensuring a seamless and coordinated experience for our patients. This position involves guiding patients through the registration process, gathering accurate demographic and insurance details, and confirming insurance coverage. The Coordinator also assists uninsured patients by providing necessary referrals and collects required fees and co-pays. Additionally, this role includes verifying managed care participation and securing authorizations for hospital services from primary care providers. The Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all necessary outpatient tests and pre-surgical appointments.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of medical terminology is essential.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- A willingness to enhance technical skills with the introduction of new technologies is expected.
