Job Title: Litigation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Specialist to join our team at PMA Companies. As a Litigation Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving complex and litigated Automobile, General Liability, and Property claims for our large self-insured clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and evaluate complex claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external business partners.
  • Administer and resolve claims in a timely manner, adhering to client, company, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Establish and execute action plans for claim resolution, balancing allocated expense and loss outcome.
  • Collaborate with internal and external professionals to investigate and resolve claims.
  • Manage service vendors and maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with customers on claims and account issues.
  • Manage litigation process and defense counsel to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Participate in the management of client litigation management programs.
  • Prepare and submit claim status and excess reports to clients and their excess carriers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in handling complex Automobile, General Liability, and Property claims.
  • State adjusting licenses and Continuing Education Credits as required.
  • Advanced skills and expertise in coverage analysis, negligence principles, investigation, evaluation, and negotiation techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and conference skills.
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office and litigation management software.
