The Student Transport Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the safe and timely transportation of students as part of our travel initiatives and various weekend activities.
This position operates on a per diem basis with a flexible schedule that encompasses evenings and weekends.Key Responsibilities:
The primary duty of the Student Transport Specialist is to ensure students reach their destinations safely and punctually.
The essential tasks include:
• Transporting students to and from various locations, including airports and train stations.
• Maintaining a strict schedule for pick-up and drop-off.
• Utilizing navigation tools to identify optimal routes.
• Engaging with students in a professional manner at all times.
• Acting as a chaperone for unaccompanied minors during travel.
• Holding a valid CT driver’s license with a clean driving record and an “A” endorsement.
• Successfully passing a medical examination conducted by an authorized professional.
• Being at least 25 years old.
• Occasionally lifting luggage weighing between 50-60 lbs.
• Availability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A minimum of one year’s experience driving activity buses.
• Comprehensive understanding of road safety regulations.
• Familiarity with local roads and routes.
• Proficiency in using maps, GPS systems, and vehicle manuals.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
