Key Responsibilities- Receive repair orders from dispatchers and take them to the designated work area.
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the necessary repairs.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain required parts.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required.
- Document work performed.
- Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, ensuring customer vehicles are not used for personal errands.
- Supervise the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes to stay up-to-date on the latest technical bulletins.
- Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and the shop area is maintained in a neat and organized manner.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous wastes.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
- A high level of customer satisfaction is essential.
- ASE or manufacturing training is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record are necessary.
- Manual dexterity and good judgment are essential.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug tests, and a valid driver's license.
