Position Overview

At Shady Grove Reproductive Sci Center, P.C., we are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of our patients. We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to become an integral part of our Fairfax, VA facility. This role offers a structured schedule of Monday to Friday, 6 am - 3 pm, with one rotating shift from 6 am to 12 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a high volume of phlebotomy procedures.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for blood collection stations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of lab specimens to designated laboratories.
  • Document patient care activities using daily logs and patient records.
  • Utilize computer systems for lab entries and label printing.
  • Assist physicians and ultrasound technicians during various procedures.
  • Support HSG procedures as required.
  • Measure vital signs and provide general clinical support.
  • Contribute to the clinical care of fertility patients.
  • Deliver patient and couple counseling, procedure education, and communicate physician directives.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative education.
  • Foster a compassionate environment by offering emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Work autonomously to achieve program objectives.
  • Promote and uphold excellence in customer service.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including prior authorizations.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient phlebotomy skills.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Experience in women's health is preferred.
  • Strong patient-centered approach and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Professional demeanor and exceptional customer service skills are essential.
