Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deli Team Lead to join our team at Bashas'.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct department personnel in the absence of the Deli/Bistro Team Leader, ensuring department goals and objectives are met.
  • Oversee the preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/bistro food service items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees, fried chicken, and other meal items.
  • Display deli/bistro merchandise, following department and company merchandising guidelines.
  • Rotate deli/bistro items for sale, ensuring quality and safety, and product shrink control.
  • Meet all county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
  • Receive merchandise for sale and supplies, auditing invoices, breaking down orders, and positioning cases of products in the deli storage area or in refrigerated walk-in coolers or frozen food walk-ins' freezers.
  • Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage.
  • Keep clean, neat, and orderly sales counters, food prep areas, warehouse shelving, and walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Work safely around sharp slicers, tools, and hot ovens and burners.
  • Take customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age. Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a deli or bistro environment preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
