Job Summary

The Assembler Lead performs repetitive assembly operations, trains, and provides work direction to the assembly team to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs. This role requires a strong focus on solving conflicts, listening to others, and remaining open to new ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plans and assigns work tasks among assembly team members to meet daily, weekly, project, or team-related production goals.
  • Performs job tracking and reporting, overseeing the efficiency and output of the assembler team.
  • Trains new assembler employees in the tasks required for component assembly work, including actual assembly techniques, use of tools and machinery, and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Works in an environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced.
  • Places parts in specified relationships to each other.
  • Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
  • Removes defective products as needed.
  • Tends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of component assembly experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior carpentry or manufacturing experience.
