Job Overview

American Hardwood Industries is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery. This is a full-time position within a leading hardwood lumber manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and reassemble machinery for repairs or relocation
  • Construct foundations for various machines
  • Install and set up equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Transport machinery to designated sites for servicing
  • Grind and file components of machinery
  • Fabricate structures and equipment for hardwood drying, including the maintenance and replacement of drying lines and kilns
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, including measuring instruments, welding, and metal fabrication tools
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: GED/High School Diploma and an accredited Millwright certification
  • At least 10 years of experience in a Millwright role or a similar position
  • Familiarity with Cleereman, PHL, and other hardwood specialty machinery is advantageous
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse personnel
  • Ability to work autonomously

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage range: $17 - $25
