Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

At Boot Barn, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and team management.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales goals and objectives
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of sales associates and sales floor coordinators
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards and store displays
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including inventory, labor, and overhead costs
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and promotions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree and/or 2-4 years of experience in retail store management
  • Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication, customer service, time management, and organizational skills
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work extended hours when necessary
  • Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Standing or walking for 75% of schedule shifts
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting occasionally throughout scheduled shifts
  • Ability to use a ladder and/or step stool occasionally
  • Required to lift, move, and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation and reports
  • Must be able to see, hear, and speak in order to communicate with partners and customers
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel, and type; reach with hands and arms
