Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Engineering Technician to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise to the FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) Program, ensuring the design, build, operation, and maintenance of the FAA's next-generation communications platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys to gather data and draft Site Survey Reports (SSR).
  • Review FAA databases and provide input on project plans.
  • Coordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and Verizon personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and update drawings, sketches, and artifacts to support project activities.
  • Collaborate with other districts and SSCs to resolve schedule conflicts and ensure interstate service flows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with additional experience.
  • Ability to travel 25%-50% and obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites and knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Assoc (NFPA) standards.
