Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in supporting our construction projects, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
  • Ensure "Constructing with Integrity" is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
  • Provide support to other craft workers on project sites, including structural construction, heavy concrete construction, demolition, and framing.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, including sweeping debris, gathering and discarding trash, and removing snow and ice.
  • Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions when clarification is needed.
  • Load and unload materials as needed.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a threat of harm to self or others.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and emails.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and emails.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to apply understanding to carrying out simple one-or-two step instructions.
  • Commit to and meet all scheduled attendance and production deadlines.
  • At least 18 years of age.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the role requires the ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, and steep slopes with agility, maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling from precarious situations, and perform other physical demands.
