UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is a leading institution in cancer care, research, and education. We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at the UPMC Pinnacle – West Shore Radiation Oncology Network office in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to deliver radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of radiation safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:- Deliver radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
- Obtain localization images according to planned treatment delivery
- Assist physician or nurse in the administration of contrast agents used during treatment localization
- Perform measurements for use during treatment calculation
- Collect and document data acquired during the simulation procedure
- Accurately input treatment-related data into the verify-and-record system
- Completion of a formal radiation therapy technology program in a JRCERT-accredited institution
- ARRT Registration in good standing or Board Eligibility within six months of hire
- Maintain 24 CEU's per Biennium as required for ARRT Certification and Licensure
- CPR certification required within 30 days of beginning employment
