Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Inpatient, Acute Care Surgical Specialty unit at University Hospital in Madison, WI. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing specialized procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients across four specialties: Gynecology, Urology, Plastics, and ENT.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in airway management, including new tracheostomies, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and acuity-based staffing ratios.
  • Participate in shared governance and contribute to the development of unit-based policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the State of WI or compact state.
  • Two years of nursing experience, with relevant experience in ICU or critical care.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Relevant certification, such as CCRN or CNL, preferred.
