POSITION SUMMARY: Oversee the daily activities of the store in collaboration with the Store Manager. Support the management of donations and cashier responsibilities, including store opening and closing procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Actively engage with the Store Manager to facilitate daily store operations.
  2. Assume leadership for all operational tasks during the Store Manager's absence.
  3. Deliver coaching, training, and professional development to store staff.
  4. Ensure customer and donor satisfaction by fostering positive relationships and efficiently addressing any concerns.
  5. In the Store Manager's absence, coordinate shift changes and team meetings.
  6. Supervise staff performance to guarantee adherence to established policies and guidelines.
  7. Provide orientation and training for new employees on store protocols and procedures.
  8. Communicate any personnel matters to the appropriate authorities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  9. Complete assigned tasks from the Store Manager or Corps Officer.
  10. Manage paperwork responsibilities, including time and attendance records.
  11. Maintain store merchandising standards, ensuring adequate inventory levels and timely completion of rag outs, while keeping the store clean and organized.
  12. In the Store Manager's absence, ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed and that daily banking of cash receipts is completed.
  13. Participate in store meetings.
  14. Assist the Store Manager in implementing and maintaining safety protocols in accordance with organizational policies and regulations.
  15. Safeguard the well-being of customers, employees, property, and the facility.
  16. Execute appropriate loss prevention strategies.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Corps Officer.
