Job Summary
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will oversee procurement activities for our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing new suppliers
  • Ensuring purchased products and materials meet specific technical specifications
  • Negotiating purchase terms
  • Evaluating supplier performance
  • Ensuring timely deliveries and resolving supply issues

Duties & Functions
Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Preparing and processing sales and purchase orders in line with company policies
  • Researching, selecting, and purchasing quality products and materials
  • Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating optimal pricing
  • Updating inventory and maintaining appropriate stock levels
  • Planning and managing logistics for delivery schedules and inventory
  • Developing and maintaining a list of suppliers with their qualifications and delivery times
  • Acting as the point of contact for vendors, freight handlers, customers, and internal sales departments regarding purchasing matters
  • Assisting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Teams with billing inquiries
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Standards
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in customer service, purchase orders, and vendor drop shipments
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels
  • The ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently
  • The capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
