Job Summary: Developmental Services Coordinator

About the Role:

This role is responsible for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the program manager to ensure program policies and procedures are followed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Case management for individuals attending MDAC, including IP/SEMI and case records in accordance with TKC/DDS guidelines
  • Works closely with the program manager to ensure program policies and procedures are followed
  • Facilitates artwork and assists with art shows and events
  • Ensures compliance with Kennedy CollectiveSM and DDS regulations and policies
  • Responsible for staff training and supervision
  • Manages petty cash and purchases within budget guidelines
  • Provides professional communication with coworkers, supervisors, families, and guardians
  • Audits staff entries into Therap for compliance
  • Works directly with the program nurse to ensure medical needs are met
  • Administers medications in accordance with DDS regulations
  • Advocates for individuals and teaches them to advocate for themselves
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment
  • Transports individuals to community sites in all weather conditions
  • Completes annual assessments and ensures wellness checks are completed
  • Accompanies individuals on community outings
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience working in human services
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Must maintain PMT and CPR certifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the internet
  • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Compassion and patience for individuals served
  • Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form
  • Work independently and utilize good judgment
  • Do math calculations and use a calculator, tape measurement, and scale

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
